Authors must submit their papers electronically in our on-line submission system no later than February 29, 2016. Manuscripts must be a camera-ready version and submitted in PDF format.
Oral presentations in general sessions will be selected by session chairs and the organizing committee. All submitted papers will be considered, except for papers for specifically submitted for poster presentation only.

Please note that the author must register for the conference and pay the registration fees before submitting the camera-ready PDF of his/her manuscript(s). If the author cancels the registration, submitted papers will be cancelled.
Although only one registration is required for submission, other authors are encouraged to register and participate in the conference.

The online submission site is operated with the registration site by JTB Japan Corporation. JTB has been appointed as an official travel agent for the conference and will handle registration, hotel accommodations, and other traveling issues.

Formatting Tips:
Please use the abstract template file to prepare your abstract for submission. Note that the papers are camera-ready PDF and will not be edited after the submission. Submitting authors are asked to submit their single-paged abstract in PDF format through our Abstract Submission System. Please name the PDF using the name of the first author (e.g., FirstnameSurname.pdf).

The abstract must be within one A4-sized page and formatted according to the instructions in the template file. Mail address of the corresponding author is NOT mandatory. Authors may add figures, tables, and references if appropriate. The submitted abstract PDF will be distributed to participants by a flash drive. Printed papers will be provided only in black and white.

The Marlene DeLuca Award (supported by Berthold Technologies) will be presented at ISBC2016. Submitting authors younger than 35 years old are strongly encouraged to consider applying for the award. The award winners will be announced in the banquet dinner.

Presentation Guideline

Each paper (oral or poster) appearing in the ISBC2016 technical program must be presented by an author at the conference.

Oral Presentations
Oral presentations in general sessions will be assigned to each session by chairs and the organizing committee. All submitted papers will be considered, except for papers for specifically submitted for poster presentation only. Presentation time allocated to each accepted paper will be decided in accordance with the number of accepted papers and will be announced in the detail program. Presentation time includes introduction of the speaker and questions from the audience. Therefore, authors are advised to leave 3 minutes after speaking.

Each lecture room will be equipped with a Windows computer and a projector. If planning to use the equipped computer, we ask the speakers to kindly copy their PowerPoint presentation files to the computer in each lecture room by the beginning of the corresponding session. Speakers are welcome to use their personal computer as well. However, please note that setting up and taking down the personal computer will be included in presentation time allotted to each speaker. Speakers are encouraged to check the connection and/or presentation prior to their session.

Poster Presentations

Posters can be up to 90 cm 210 cm (width x height) in portrait (vertical) format. A poster board and adhesive material will be provided for each paper. Each poster will be assigned to a poster presentation session and the presenting author is expected to be available in front of the poster during the session. Posters will be displayed throughout the sessions.

Note that we do not offer any printing services. Please print your poster in advance.

Posters will be numbered as PA-1, PA-2 …. Authors must put up their posters at an appropriate board with the same number indicated.

(13:20 - 14:00 the authors of even number posters must be present).

June 1 (Wednesday)
Multi-purpose Hall is available till 12:00. Authors are asked to kindly remove their posters from the boards by this time.
